Marxism is chopped into ecological Marxism,anti-racist Marxism, etc. and socialism is divided into ecological socialism, democratic socialism,Third World socialism, etc. But Marxism is one: study of capitalist totality. Socialism is one:revolutionary overcoming of that totality.

Seeing capitalism as capitalismS—Uber capitalism, fossil capitalism, green capitalism, financial capitalism, liberal capitalism, etc.—adds concreteness, but risks implying that some forms are better than others, reinforcing reformism over a critique of capitalism as a totality.

Anything less than a totalizing view—and anything that downplays the primacy of capitalist production—is scientifically and politically flawed, as I argue in this book:. Concrete forms of capitalism must always be understood in relation to the totality.

Seeing capitalism in terms of distinct capitalismS — financial, green, liberal, etc.— obscures how these forms flow from a) the core logic of capitalist production and b) the roles of different types of capitalists within each form, so this approach can be reformist.

The Left must fight the cancer of parliamentary cretinism—the illusion that everything is decided in legislatures. Wrong. What happens outside—on the streets, in workplaces, on barricades and battlefields—is far more decisive, as Lenin and scholars like August Nimtz have shown.

When doing theoretical work on any subject, it is crucial to know exactly what different writers have said. If you want to be certain about who said what, you should not rely on ChatGPT. It can go terribly wrong. It massively misattributes ideas. @OpenAI .@ChatGPTapp.

Only the proletariat sets in motion the means of production. 'This position of the proletariat gives the proletariat the power to hold up at will, partially or wholly, the proper functioning of the economy of [capitalist] society, through partial or general strikes'.2/ (Trotsky).

As a productive force, the proletariat constitutes 'in conjunction with the others, a single unified mechanism. The proletariat, however, is the only non-automatic part of this mechanism, and in spite of all efforts it cannot be reduced to the condition of an automaton'. 1/.

I have written a 512-word complaint to Drivalia and on a portal, etc. They gave me a car with brake etc issues, which I returned within a few hours of taking it. Yet, no response from the two companies. Contact me by email, please: rajudas@yorku.ca.

I agree. But this is what I have received from: ‘Kindly follow back for us to engage further via DM.^CG’ from @CaseClaimHQ . When customers have an issue, a company must reach out to them, not ask them to repeat the complaints in different ways.

Are companies like @bookingcom and car rental firms like @Drivalia (operating in Scotland and Europe) regulated at all? .When safety issues arise and customers are ignored, who holds them accountable? @transcotland.

Companies like @bookingcom are extremely bureaucratic. When things go wrong, they go silent. I rented a car from @Drivalia through but the car had brake issues. I returned it within hours. No response from either company so far.

Many wrongly see proletarians as poor. 'What is characteristic of the proletarian. is not the level of his wage. , but primarily the fact that he has been cut off from his means of production, or that his income is insufficient for him to work for his own account' (Mandel).

In the bourgeois sense, 'the quality of labour is supposed to be determined by its social usefulness, and this is used to justify the incomes of marshals, ballerinas and industrial managers, which are [many] times higher than the incomes of unskilled labourers' (Mandel).
