Was on the way home from early morning appointment, when I saw a restaurant I’d seen before: today I felt called to stop in at HOPE Breakfast Bar. Having such a lovely morning: a little teary eyed. First time I have taken myself out to a restaurant in years, since divorce.

Have been working on house cleaning tasks, and it is coming along. Some things fell behind. Executive function has been lower. I do think some things are getting better. Having compassion towards myself, and feeling good when I do make progress. One day, one step, one breath.

My accomplishment for the evening is taking the butter noodles I made for my kiddo and enhancing them with cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, pesto sauce, cream, and some cheese into a richer dish for myself. Not that much cooking, but more than lately. Plus kombucha!

Shepherd’s Pie yummy. Allowing myself to cry as needed, taking a post dinner rest in side room. First time in 20 years showing up at one of these events by myself. The tricky part about opening your heart more is you actually feel things. This IS good. And I am not alone. 🧡💛
Giving thanks for the choice made to serve Shepherd’s Pie at today’s meal. Looking forward to that! Going to get ready for stomach showtime!
