One of my best friends now has terrible long covid symptoms, and it's absolutely the worst 'I tried to tell you' feeling I've ever had. People are still getting covid, so people are still getting long covid

Oof, this hits hard. Guatemalan genocidaire in a Trump hat. My grandma always said you're as good as the company you keep
At his trial for #genocide, former #Guatemala army chief Benedicto Lucas García, dons a Trump hat. Like really does seek like; both Lucas Garcia and Trump are convicted felons. 📸 @VerdadJusticiaG

Guardrails on Trump The Constitution gives pH power to sates, not POTUS But here's the ph worry: States rely on the “gold standard” of science from FDA, CDC & NIH (treatment guidelines) What happens when states can't trust fed agencies to provide high quality scientific recs?

The comments on this piece of global health diplomacy have broken my heart
Congratulations, President-elect @realDonaldTrump. The partnership between @WHO and America is vital, and has significantly improved the health of both Americans and people across the globe. We look forward to working with your administration for global health security.

Trump ran a campaign based on perpetuating hatred, marginalisation, & shame. The global health community is now bracing itself for the backlash from the Trump administration.
Trump reveals the worst of humanity, and shows us how horrible people can be. When he wins - it is a reminder of this: the work for a better world is never over, and movement work requires individual work with people who willingly vote against their own self interest.
