Key progress at today's Advisory Board meeting on Zero Waste: finalizing the Board's final report to the UN SG with actionable zero waste policy recommendations & confirming 20 cities demonstrating innovative waste reduction globally. Report delivery is targeted for early 2026.

Productive discussion with Minister @NgaKorMing of Malaysia, President of the UN-Habitat Assembly. We discussed preparations for #COP30 and the next World Urban Forum, and the upcoming review of the New Urban Agenda. Grateful for his continued support.

Beijing 🇨🇳 went from toxic smog to cleaner skies: PM2.5 fell 60% (2013–22), life expectancy rose +4.6 yrs. 🚲🚆 EVs, coal-to-gas, afforestation & strict transport rules drove this change. Whilst still above WHO limits, it is proof that rapid urban clean-up is possible.
