There will be new videoworks on the daily with
@FellowshipAi
. 🙌🏾The first to start is a series of 5 called "On Photography" trained on photos I took while traveling.
When I travel I don't take photos as art but as a tool to catergorize all the impressions 🧵

"Whatever you now find weird, ugly, uncomfortable and nasty about a new medium will surely become its signature. CD distortion, the jitteriness of digital video, the crap sound of 8-bit - all of these will be cherished and emulated as soon as they can be avoided." - Brian Eno
I thought about making a thread with all my audiovisual work and pin it, so I decided I'm gonna make a thread with all my audiovisual work and pin it. 🧵 - newest to oldest.

It's interesting how much credit photography receives for being "real" while it tries to cram a multisensory and multidimensional experience into a frozen 2D slice of imagery.

Algorythms force creators to chase the exceptable average. Current AI tools have been set up with this average build in. It's important to be digitally disobedient towards this westernized average mean. 🧵
In this fast paced digital world, the algorythm is all we got, so you better "!Perform!"

It's obviously really easy to create with AI. Something. Anything. It's easy to go somewhere known with it. The challenge is to create something distinguishable, something recognizable and to go somewhere unknown.
"One Thing is One Thing (and Not Another) is very special to me because, as abstract art tends to do, it leaves a lot of room for your own contemplation. So every time I look at these works I discover something new. Something new about myself, something new about the art,

In a world where digital landscapes often mirror rigid norms and bias, using AI to challenge and reshape our perceptions of identity and representation is a radical act of dismantling western societies compulsion to categorize.
It's been a bit quiet because I'm working on new things but today there is one more artwork going live later on the Daily xyz.

Love this write-up. Art should not be static or confined to traditional boundaries. Instead, it should be a dynamic force that continually evolves and responds to the changing world & keep cultural conversations moving forward. Remixing art (by means of AI and others) is 1/X

Everytime I take a peek outside of my little AI-art-and-NFT-space bubble I realize how Twitter is full of raging right-wing idiots and if it wasn't for said bubble I'd be gone yesterday.
There are a lot of reasons I make art but one of the things that resonated with me while I was listening to an interview with Hew Locke an Nick Cave was: "I make art, so I don't have to explain it." I am unsure who of them said it but it find it very true for myself as well.

"Sediments" is an homage to my childhood and my grandparents. I trained a LoRa on my grandfather's photography and am using his poems and the wisdoms of my grandmother as prompts. It's an ongoing project and I'm not sure where to mint it yet.

I consider my art surreal yet very figurative, so when
@halecar2
challenged me to dig deeper into abstract art I immediately said yes. Gonna share a bit more during the coming days but I will say this : creating art can be very painful but that's where you find beauty & growth.
