Saturday: Pocahontas trails are closed. City trails are extremely icy and dangerous especially with these high winds today. #dailytrailreport

Thursday: Well it’s finally time to close the trails due to melting conditions. This is when the serious damage can be done by bikers, hikers, and runners. Please be patient while we wait for better conditions. Fireroads are open but conditions are some the worst I’ve seen.

Wed: Remember when we could see the actual trail? Me neither. Trails are open but once we start seeing the dirt it will start to get muddy and we will have to wait for them to dry. Let us know if things start to get muddy and we will spread the word. #dailytrailreport

Monday: Trails are open but extremely icy. Studded tires and shoes are recommended. We might finally get a little melting today with the highest temps we’ve seen in about 10 days. #dailytrailreport

Sunday: Very cold again and trails are open. Trails are extremely slick since we didn’t get any snow last night. Yesterday they were much harder to ride due to melting on top and refreezing. If you go take a friend. Chances of slipping and going down are high. #dailytrailreport

Friday: Most trails in the area are looking good with a few exceptions. At Pocahontas all are open except Doodles, Millstone Jumpline, Moonshine, and Freight Line. Also there are a few slick spots on Blueberry up and down. FHP, Poop Loop & Buttermilk are muddy. #dailytrailreport

Thursday: City trails are open. Leakes Mill is open. Pocahontas trails are open except Moonshine, Doodle Downhills, Freight Line, and Millstone Jump Line. Please let us now if you encounter any areas we should close due to thawing. #dailytrailreport

Wed: Pocahontas trails are closed. City trails and Leakes Mill trails are frozen this morning so they are open for now. Once again trails will likely thaw and melt around 11AM so plan your trail time accordingly. #dailytrailreport
