Congrats! How you have fun! Let me share a bit of insight… playing as a character that can use the firearm you’re after increases the odds of getting it by a lot. Gear introduced in lower mastery levels have a higher chance of dropping at those lower levels compared to higher

If you're looking for a specific item from the lower tiers, playing on the lower Mastery Levels would actually increase your chances of getting it. Also worth checking out the Incursion mission with a higher chance for firearms 👀

Seen some pretty interesting builds pushing the mastery levels since the patch, leaning into tier 3 in different ways. But we might be cooking some things to give players who really want to push higher something to go for. Not for the short term though, still cooking

Might be worth checking the damage resist augments to see how much you can stack. Not gonna spoil it for you but you can get pretty tanky with a certain character 👀

Mainly readability and gameplay reasons. We tried stacking but it quickly became too messy and also devalued the choice of which affliction to use and limited how to create synergies with squad mates in co-op

Our loot system favors the current character you are playing as, try maining King Shark or Captain Boomerang. If it’s a lower tier shotgun it’ll have a higher drop chance on lower mastery levels

Boom’s explosion range doesn’t increase with mastery levels so not sure what you are seeing here. Are you thinking of the destroyer explosion? It’s on our radar

Unlocked Mastery Levels go up through playing the Incursion missions on the highest Mastery Levels unlocked. Those unlocked Mastery Levels carry over to the Kill Brainiac mission, but playing that mission doesn't increase your unlocked Mastery Levels. Hope that helps clarify it!

Check out the shield regen augments, might be something there if you want to offset the shield loss… you didn’t hear it from me though

There is a known bug that is affecting a small number of players with mastery levels not unlocking or incursion missions not reappearing on the map after the kill brainiac mission. If the problem persists reach or to customer support with your gamer tag and ID and they can help

Only one affliction per enemy. +1 grenades is an pretty hefty damage boost though, just imagine how many enemies you can blow up now! That said, always looking at ways to improve, so 👀
