Welcome to Wilson Fandino to the Section! Wilson joins us with a background in Statistics and Anesthetics. He currently holds a substantive post as a Consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and is currently involved in several research projects, mainly in London (UK) and Boston (US).

It will present the results of a recent survey by the RSS Medical Section to collect views of clinical/health professional researchers and medical statisticians/health data analysts on the contribution of statisticians/analysts to collaborative medical research projects.

The session will explore how far we have come since the paper written by the late Sir David Cox on the 50th anniversary of the Italian Statistical Society regarding the relationship between the statistician and the "substantive researcher worker".
