This was Snipe yesterday at the Eric Morecambe pool. At least 25 of them were feeding and preening amongst lots of other birds from Kingfisher and Grey Heron to Dunlin and Little egret. The sounds of the marsh are so evocative

It's brilliant to see the successful hatching of all 3 eggs. Great Black-backed gulls are 1 of 10 species of breeding seabirds now on the red list for a range of reasons - impact of Avian Flu & climate change #lovegulls #redlist #savenature

Black Tern alert! One of our team managed to get a nice photo of a visiting Black Tern today. We had sightings of a Black Tern last month, so it's possible that it may be the same bird, but we can't be sure. Great photo Joe K! #BlackTern

We've had several sightings of Bittern across the main reserve, Avocets from the saltmarsh hides, Grasshopper Warblers, Sedge Warblers, Cetti's Warblers & Reed Warblers. #birdsong Makers Market today - lots of lovely art & crafts #locallymade #art Sedge Warbler J Sneyd.

Another lovely week on the reserve lots of Bittern sightings & 5 different Ospreys. Avocets at the Saltmarsh tending to nests. Black Tern spotted briefly Wed & Thur Telescope & Binocular Event Sat & Sun,11am-4pm. Great impartial advice from our knowledgeable team #spring #optics
