Since when did the SoS Education intervene in the details of exam board specs? Are we arguing that set texts shouldn’t change in the space of 40 years?! Frankly they don’t update enough - in 2016 I was still teaching Moby as an example of ‘popular music’ to GCSE students.
Larkin and Owen are two of our finest poets. Removing their work from the curriculum is cultural vandalism. Their work must be passed on to future generations - as it was to me. I will be speaking to the exam board to make this clear. https://t.co/w0mwOlsB4A
