🚨New paper alert:. Mind the gap: examining policy and social media discourse on Long COVID in children and young people in the UK.

The study also found challenges, like needing clearer roles for DTC members, improving the speed and communication in the application process and finding the right balance between protecting patient privacy and making sure data are used to benefit patients.

The study found that the DTC  made accessing data easier, improved the way data are used for patient benefit and made sure that patients’ experiences were considered.

We'll cover strategies for efficient analysis, explore a range of analysis method options, and delve into Collaborative Matrix Analysis (CMA) with a step-by-step guide. We'll also discuss key considerations around validity, triangulation, member checking, and reliability.

Course participants will work with real research cases and design their own rapid study. The course will be delivered by Professor @CeciliaVindrola, RREAL's Co-Director and a renowned medical anthropologist with expertise in applied health research and rapid research methods.

We will explore various research and evaluation methods, including Rapid Appraisals, Rapid Ethnographic Assessments (REAs), Rapid Qualitative Inquiry (RQI), Rapid Feedback Evaluations, and Rapid Cycle Evaluations.

Our first course of the year, "Introduction to rapid research and evaluation", provides an overview of the range of approaches used in rapid qualitative research and evaluations. 📝

@NIHRresearch Led by Gráinne Brady, Sigrun Clark, Laurence Lovat and @CeciliaVindrola, this review investigated various methods to minimise the spread of airborne infections within healthcare settings.

Funded by the @NIHRresearch, RREAL and the AIRSAFETY team conducted a comprehensive review of interventions used to reduce infectious aerosol concentrations in hospitals.
