People suck. People in general also have absolutely no proper concept of what all ICU nurses do and the enormous weight and responsibility that is carried. You don’t get to be an ICU nurse if you aren’t a damn good nurse. Don’t be afraid to take care of your own mental health❤️

I had a pt die every single day for a month straight. And it is happening again. There aren't enough nouns, verbs and adjectives for the simmering rage and sadness I have right now.

Ugh I’m sorry. Had a patient last week go on and on preaching to me how covid is FAKE! I literally didn’t even acknowledge and respond to them. Just said ...ok I’m going to medicate another patient now. And left their room.
