Not only did Perdomo turn this game-saving double play, he also reached base 4 times tonight to raise his OBP to .462 (!) as the @Dbacks leadoff hitter. Winning player.

Leaving a rookie in to try to get a six-out save is pretty unrealistic. D-backs will need to get a veteran closer for next season (though obviously that’s way easier said than done).
Hoffmann has looked great all season. Can't be perfect forever, unfortunately. #dbacks.

D-backs are now 12-21 in one-run games. Would say it’s hard to fathom, but that’s their identity at this point.
It's been that kinda year for the Dbacks. Another late blown lead, another loss.

D-backs are 9-16 in extra innings over the last two seasons. Not bunting Corbin Carroll to third with no outs in a tie game in the bottom of the 10th is pretty insane. Especially when you have one of the worst bullpens in the league and you’re facing the best.

Glad to see Tyler Locklear already in the lineup. Next two months will be big for him to show he's ready to be an everyday starter next season. Same for Jordan Lawlar when he's healthy.
