This looks amazingly bad. In addition to just being terrible overall, it appears as though the screenplay runs counter to the book’s anti-communist message.
First trailer for Andy Serkis’ animated adaptation of ‘ANIMAL FARM’ Starring Seth Rogen, Gaten Matarazzo, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Laverne Cox, Kieran Culkin, Woody Harrelson, Jim Parsons, Kathleen Turner and Iman Vellani. In theaters on May 1, 2026

I've written something with four of Canada's leading economists. We think it's important. The federal government has subverted Canada's world-renowned skills based immigration system. It's time to bring it back. Take some to read and distribute. 👉 https://t.co/29C4ieLKWK

Toronto: “Should we fix our restrictive zoning laws and burdensome processes? No, let’s just add new layers of bureaucracy for everyone and avoid fixing the underlying problem driving Canada’s housing crisis.”

Blocking housing for rich people doesn't make them go away; instead, they just compete for the existing housing stock.
A left-NIMBY told me renters keep being renovicted; I asked how he deals with population growth and he said he opposes all developments that aren't affordable so I said it sounds like he’s just renovating old rental homes for rich people and then his tenants union started crying.

Residents of Riverbend federal riding, be sure to reach out to your recently elected MP @andrew_leach with your concerns - federal taxes, GST, potholes, snow clearing, coyotes, school curriculum, emergency room wait times, the price of groceries. Andrew wants to hear from you.
@trawetsnagrom No, Andrew Leach secured victory in the November 10, 2025, Edmonton Riverbend by-election via his expertise in energy economics, alignment with Liberal priorities on emissions and growth, and endorsement from PM Trudeau, which mobilized moderate voters in a swing urban seat. He

There is no limit to the bureaucracy that some municipalities will go through to avoid zoning reform. Just imagine the challenges of enforcing this.
The Vacant Home Tax declaration portal is now open! Own a house or condo in Toronto? You need to let the City know if it’s occupied or vacant every year. Even if you live there. Make your Vacant Home Tax declaration at: https://t.co/Aoqor0ajAG

Folks debating the legality of things haven’t been paying attention. If Trump wants a third term or if he wants to change the results of the mid-term elections, he will just do so and nobody will oppose him.

The UCP could have ordered teachers back to work without the notwithstanding clause. This may galvanize the union movement in Alberta with support from across Canada landing us in massive general strikes. They wanted to weaken unions but may do the opposite.

Calgary has 100% of their count reported, Edmonton has 20% (at 9am this morning). This is a pretty stark difference. After this election is done, the folks in Edmonton need to ask Calgary how they managed things and change their approach for the next election.
Two things can be true at the same time 1. The UCP made unnecessary and inefficient changes to the election process. 2. Edmonton has not managed this election process well. Calgary seems well ahead in getting results out.

People are telling me that we won’t know the results of the Blue Jays game until tomorrow or maybe later this week. By Friday for sure.

Farkas and Sharp both nearing the 20,000 vote mark, with just 500 votes separating the two. Still a lotta counting to come.

Remember that there were still paper ballots still, we just didn’t hand count them like it was 1925. But they were there if we wanted to count them.

If we had voting scanners we would have our election results already.

With regards to councillors, I honestly have no idea what will happen. I would bet most races see close races with a very divided vote
It’s going to be a very interesting election. Dissatisfaction with council is high, but the two candidates with a narrow lead are on council. I would not be surprised if Walters (polling 3rd here) picks up a lot of the unhappy&undecided vote.

While Cartmell and Knack are frontrunners to become Edmonton’s next mayor, a CityNews poll finds voters feel no candidate is right for the job.

You can build a single stair building in Toronto, it just has to have a second set of stairs.
After TO Council passed a motion indicating the City was open to Alternative Solution Proposals for a single stair in apts up to 4 storeys, I applied for a single stair in a 3 storey Part 9 6plex. I’m told it’s the first one, so it’s a test case. Here’s how it’s going.
