And yet—peace processes with women are 64% more likely to succeed. So... what about girls? What about the ones already building peace in their communities, schools, and homes? What about the ones whose lives are shaped by the conflicts—but whose voices are left out of the table?

Only 6%. That’s how many women were mediators in global peace processes. In 2022, just 16% of negotiators in UN-led peace talks were women. Countries like Ethiopia, Yemen, and the Balkans? Zero women.
