🌱 Proximity is an opportunity. Intimacy is a choice. Choose intimacy. Yield until His presence transforms every part of you. That is the true measure of closeness. 🙌 ©RCNLagos

💭 So ask yourself: Are you merely around Him, or truly with Him? Has your nearness produced repentance, obedience, and love? Or have you settled for looking close while staying unchanged?

🚫 Don’t be deceived: Singing loud ≠ intimacy. Serving ≠ transformation. Carrying a Bible ≠ carrying the Word in you. You can be near the things of God but far from the heart of God. Nearness without change is still distance.

👩🏾 Think of the woman with the issue of blood. She pressed through the crowd, touched Jesus with desperation, and was instantly healed. Many touched Him that day, but only one was changed. Hunger + faith + surrender turned proximity into transformation.

🕊️ The disciples all had access to Jesus, but not all pressed in the same way. Presence is invitation, not guarantee. James 4:8 says: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands… purify your hearts.” Nearness demands cleansing & surrender.

❤️ HeartChecker: The question isn’t how close you look in church, but how changed you really are. Does your private life carry the same weight as your public devotion? Or have you mistaken religious activity for genuine intimacy with Jesus?

⚡ Israel fell into this trap too. They carried the ark, built temples, observed feasts—yet their hearts drifted to idols. God rejected their sacrifices as empty rituals (Isaiah 1:13–14). Proximity gave them confidence, but without true devotion, it only displeased Him.

Many assume that being near the things of God = being changed by God. We attend services, sing passionately, even serve in church, but activity ≠ intimacy. Jesus said in Matthew 15:8: “These people honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.
