JUST IN: Representative Michael McCaul just filed a purchase of Howmet Aerospace stock, $HWM. Howmet is a major defense contractor. McCaul sits on the House Committee on Homeland Security.

The House is out again this week. At the end of this week, their current recess will have lasted a month. This comes after they went into recess for the entire month of August. They haven't taken a recess from stock trading though. Track their portfolios on Quiver.

Wow. Last year, we reported extensively on a suspicious purchase of Viasat stock by a member of Congress. $VSAT is now up 393% since our reports. Look at this:

[UPDATE] $IREN has now risen 271% since Representative Cleo Fields bought in. It's been three months. Fields' purchase was the first time we had ever seen a politician buy the stock. Up another 5% today.

[UPDATE] We recently posted a report on Marjorie Taylor Greene's purchase of Impinj stock, $PI. It caught our eye, because it was a small company that no one in Congress had traded for years. The stock has now risen 177% since her April 4th purchase.

UPDATE: Early this year, Jack Schlossberg, JFK’s only grandson, announced that he bought gold, $GLD. $GLD is now up 52% YTD. It has had its biggest rally since the 1970s.
