@bluejayfarley is an award-winning non-binary, queer, neurodiverse filmmaker & digital artist. Jay performs Spoken Word & was runner up at their first Poetry Slam. They will be published as part of @queerbods ‘Queer Icons’ & the Hot Poets 'Sparks’ anthology.

How might poetry mobilise a crowd or bring about real change? What is the best language to utilise in order to navigate the abstracts of our evolving identities? What symbols / images might we conjure to help us understand one another and express ourselves faithfully?

In this day-long writing workshop Day Mattar (cheeky queer poet and co-founder of Queer Bodies poetry collective) will lead an exploration of political expression through poetry; a well established tradition throughout various social movements in history.
