Mechanical Auger Sampling, as per the standards of IS 436 Part I/Sec 1-1976, is a scientific method for assessing coal quality. Using a screw-like auger tool, samples are collected from multiple depths of wagons, ensuring the tested coal truly represents entire consignment.
