My beloved spouse of 25 years, my soul mate and love died of cardiac arrest in my arms. The grief and expense are overwhelming, as is the concern of where to go and what to do next. I'm asking for your help. https://t.co/jj9X4iMwfQ

Tucked away in the modern sprawl of Rome 🇮🇹, where scooters buzz past ancient ruins and apartment balconies hang over streets once walked by emperors, stands a quiet anomaly. It is a functioning Temple of Jupiter, not a museum replica or a reconstructed tourist landmark, but an

I feel more qualified than ever to reinforce daily practice as our path to liberation and our salvation when life falls apart. It's not during the good times that our practice shows its value but rather in the worst times. Make an effort every day to engage what feeds your soul.

The landscape we're in is a crucible for our practice and a training ground for the development of our innate gifts. We needn't remove ourselves from where we are in order to grow. Refine your practice by facing your environment and engaging it directly as a key element in this.

Today was a blessing and a challenge in equal measure. In the Kemetic or ancient Egyptian religious tradition I live, it was Wep Ronpet, the Opening of the Year or New Year's Day, initiated by the heliacal rising of our holy star Sopdet...

Today, in speaking with people who knew and worked with Brent in a professional capacity, I was reminded yet again just how profound is the void he leaves behind. I wish all of you could have known my Brent personally. He was truly a Renaissance man...

I am not sure how long I will be able to continue my work. My beloved Brent's death has reinforced the fragility of everything, but I do know that as long as I'm alive, my heart will continue to belong to the Gods in Their service. They are all that I am.

Today we crossed the $1k mark thanks to the generosity of souls out there who have been touched by my tragedy and decided to help. Nothing given is a small gift. Everything coming in right now is helping me to survive.

I've learned to focus on my own practice, my own strengths & shortcomings, & to perfect my knowledge through practical application & direct experience. You can't give these things to others, nor they to you. Only through individual effort can we know the right path & live it.

To fight evil, we will have to take action to see that it doesn't gain ground. The danger to us is that we will allow it to take away our personal sense of right & wrong, our recognition of the good in others. We then become vehicles for destruction. We must fight for our good.

Traditions & spiritual lineages have been attacked or fallen into disuse, & holy places have become empty shells, but the Gods Themselves remain & and can not be touched by the machinations of humans. What we can access directly today are the Gods, if not Their ancient traditions

The Gods are continually revealing Themselves to us, Their names, forms, and the ways They wish to be engaged by humankind. This process of revealing didn't end in ancient times nor have the Gods stopped calling the hearts of Their devotees to Them. The call of the Gods continues

You have something to do, something only you can do, and if you don't do it, it will never get done. You have a life & this time right now to push something into being that has never existed before, but will exist after you're gone. Never mind the obstacles. It's time to WORK.

I've had no choice in my life but to make friends with adversity or to stop pushing back constantly against the inevitable. Life is GOING to take shots at us. Can we learn from that? Build our practice from it? Everything you see in my practice has come from life's adversity.

I've learned the value of stillness & isolation in my practice because I was forced to via circumstances. I realized how much background noise was detracting from my sacred work. Taking a break from everyone & everything can enhance your inner work & allow you to GROW in new ways

Not every moment of our devotions is filled with inspiration or gratitude. There are times when our suffering boils over, and we want to pour out our trauma to the Gods. We shouldn't hold back. They drink all our humanity & receive our suffering. We can go to Them with everything

Living with our Gods is the root of polytheism as a lived experience. It's not just a study or intellectualism of belief systems past, but rather engaging the Gods in every area of life, seeking & serving Them in everything we do, the sacred & the secular. Life is our practice.

We can pray with thoughts. We can pray with the spoken word. We can pray with the written word. We can pray with actions, & we can pray with emotions. The iconographer knows we can pray with gold, color, and divine forms chosen by the Gods. Our heart becomes the tool & the prayer
