Cam is who Cam is. People are either going to understand him or they not. I think unfortunately, with the Nets going through the rebuild and wanting the minutes for 5 first rounders, its the worst situation you can be in for him. I personally would want to see Cam back next year.

You can absolutely “build” around him, as a foundational piece. You then need to add good veterans and combine that with young players taking the next step. If that happens this team can easily be a 3-6 seed in the East. That is the jump they need to take.

Zero reason to trade MPJ at all. In a best case trade scenario they would most likely get draft capital that would be used to trade for a star anyways. You keep MPJ, get a decent draft pick this year, and then move other picks next year to build out rest of the core.
