As today's Daily Telegraph illustrates, if tech companies fail to protect children, it is children who will be punished. All welcome at my #WorldChildrensDay lecture on Wednesday 27th in person or online https://t.co/6uouc29qvu @5rightsfound @mediaLSE #DigitalFutures4Children

Crowdfunding was once a place of optimism for the utopia of online collaboration. Seems like it has become just another space for fraudsters to operate. How depressing :(

A really amazing dataset being gathered by @daniellepad_25 we’re excited about what it can be used for! And a great workshop by @CatherineTalb @daniellepad_25 @DrBethBell on using the scroll back method in interviews - generated so many research ideas!

Today I presented proposal #11 at the Meta Annual Shareholder's meeting. We need regular reporting on what children are experiencing on Meta's products to create space for employees inside of Meta to build experiences that improve the safety of children. Safety matters as much

Meta switched this year to using AI/no human in the loop reports for child abuse material to save $ - meaning the govt. can no longer legally use them without a warrant. Side benefit for Meta - fewer child abuse cases link back to them, at the cost of children’s safety.

@elonmusk @cb_doge I had lunch with the ceo of Marici on Friday, the non profit that busts child sex trafficking rings. I asked who is most to blame for this happening. Without hesitation, he said "Meta." "We try to work with them, but they are not helping."
