My best cleaning advice is to have a low tolerance for ugly objects. Messes are much less offensive when the things one uses daily are attractive, or at least neutral.

If there was a way to keep young people (particularly women) from owning pets before they have children, I’d imagine it would significantly boost fertility rates. Many women can satisfy their nurturing instinct just enough to postpone/forgo children by pouring their affections

I suspect many picky eaters exist because parents underestimate their children’s palettes. When my daughters dislike something, it's usually because it's too bland. If my girls tire of eggs, I add fish sauce or some novel ingredient. This always seems to work.
