There is a similar case sitting on the desk of Starr Co district attorney Gocha Ramirez and he refuses to do anything about it. This is the corruption we have to deal with in certain places in STX.

Yes. Mark is right. We all would love the help of the RPT/SREC. But all I see is them attacking Repubs, and trying to tell the rest of us what to believe. To the SREC, you have a standing invitation to walk doors with us in South Texas. Rather than fight the grassroots, join us.

#ProjectRedTx was at the Webb County Republican fundraiser last night with a bunch of excited local folks ready to get to work. Judson got to spend time with County Judge Tano Tijerina who switched parties last year and became a Republican.

It’s easy to be an R in dark Red areas of the state…but people pay a price in some counties (like Starr) for being a Republican. I met with Starr Co Chairman Toni Trevino for breakfast to start planning for this election cycle. We are already talking to 3 possible candidates.

Back on the road this week talking with those considering running for office. I had breakfast with a group from Jim Wells Co. After last cycles historic victory of Guy Baker in the Sheriff’s race, people see Republicans can win.
