This was hands down the funnest 🧪science🔭 panel I've ever done, getting to nerd out about the science of my fav sci-fi show @ExpanseOnPrime with one of its main actors (who should totally have a "nice off" with Keanu)!! Thx also to @TheExpanseGeeks for the cool swag! 🚀🙏.

As if there wasn't enough to celebrate with the new @ehtelescope results today, I just saw that my @GRAPPAinstitute and @uva_api colleague @samayanissanke has just been awarded the @AAS_HEAD Mid-Career prize for her work on multi-messenger astrophysics!! 🎉🎉🎉.

As the ring turns: our first @ehtelescope 2018 results are out and check it out: the ring has shifted around the black hole! We're not entirely sure what it means but we have a few ideas, stay tuned for the Theory & Interpretation paper coming soon!.

I’m teaching a MSc course “Extreme Astrophysics” and a luminary of our field (Jocelyn Bell Burnell, discoverer of pulsars, for which her advisor got a Nobel…) gave a talk my students attended. Not only could they understand it, they also got this magnificent selfie with her!!
