This new report into @Austin_Police’s handling of sexual assaults conducted by the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) in conjunction @WomensLawProj and @jgbvr_wcw has identified multiple recommendations to improve investigations and processes.

The report we contributed to has been released. A review of #APD response to reports of sexual assault @jgbvr_wcw @WCWnews @WomensLawProj.
As the result of a resolution I authored, the Police Executive Research Forum released a report on Austin sexual assault investigations. We must continue to reform Austin’s sexual assault response system so that every survivor can access justice & healing.
