False dichotomy. Just because someone believes that a fetus has a right to life that does not mean they also believe that subsequently it is the states responsibility to keep said child fed due to the parents' inadequacies. But sure leap to the moon with your bad faith arguments.

A committee I was on had to vote whether our state should accept the matching funds mandate of a federal school lunch program. The 2 vehemently โpro-lifeโ women in the group (one an NRA staffer) voted no because they didnโt want state taxpayer funds used for the program.

This is one of my favorite talking points because itโs so obviously terrible. All itโs trying to say is that hunger is more important than life and everyone knows that doesnโt make sense. Itโs arguing that not caring about babies is bad while arguing for killing them. You donโtโฆ

This is reality: even George Carlin spoke to how the State CAREs until birth then, nothing; until he/she reaches the age to join the armed forces. The gov't is notorious to invoke"do good er" laws; w/no thought of the logical consequences; then 'act surprised'/helpless.

If the state has a compelling interest in forcing a child to be born, it has a responsibility to provide assistance to those in need - and they are most certainly the ones most affected by the law. The rich and the politicians' mistresses will continue to have access to abortion.

Republicans LOVE socialism! Our state budgets are largely funded by other states' tax dollars through the federal government. Our states could not function without state socialism.
But they refuse to feed poor little kids.
