Hey, I am Gerard, and I create concise videos that explore the performance of 3D printing designs, concepts, settings, and products β all based on testing data.

If you can't 3D print perfect holes, watch this: https://t.co/b8Spa2zhLf I explain why these defects appear, how to fix them, and the variables that affect them! #3DPrinting #3DPrint #3DPrinter

Printing BIG THINGS that have a functional purpose is so satisfying! Definitely performance over looks modification... But quick and easy for higher chamber temps! π

I convinced myself that someday I would still use one of my most modified 3D printers. As you can seeβ¦ I clearly didnβt, and it was time to let it go despite all the effort I put into it. π On the bright sideβ¦ There will be plenty of parts for potential future projects! π

As a person who values the print quality the most, after multiple review videos, all I see is the VFA2S. π€¨

Dear Hotend Manufacturers, Can you please offer more nozzle sizes (0.3, 0.5mm)? I've been loving the 0.3mm on my Voron 0.2 and 0.5mm on my Voron 2.4, and it blows my mind that nobody sells these sizes for Bambu printers. PLEASE OFFER WHAT I CAN'T ALREADY BUY!
Upgrade Your H2D with Conch Hotend! π Who hasn't experienced the game-changing 30-second nozzle replacement yet? β¨ Features: β‘ Quick-swap nozzle design π― Multiple orifice sizes (0.20-0.80mm) πͺ Exceptional durability #3Dprinting #H2D #ConchHotend #Phaetus

In one of my videos, I tested single vs dual-drive gear extruders and found out that Bambu A1 series extruders produce exceptional extrusion consistency. So, one of the viewers made a custom Voron toolhead inspired by the A1 series. This is so awesome to see! π
@PrintPerspec @BambulabGlobal Bro check this out after watching you YouTube video about dual gear vs single gear you inspired me to design a Printhead based on a1 gear And it makes fantastic print quality https://t.co/WUCfM2e5jN

Wait... So this makes H2D completely irrelevant for multi-color printing? H2S + Vortek = the way? No? ...unless you will have to upgrade way more parts. Very interesting. If not the @snapmaker U1, do you think we would see this announcement? π
Just when you thought we were done for the day... π¬ Introducing Vortek β the multi-color solution you've been waiting for. Up to 7 materials, zero purge waste, wireless reliability. Finally, multi-color printing that actually makes sense. Coming Q4 2025! β¨ #Bambulab #Vortek

Thinking of upgrading to @BambulabGlobal H2S? Here I compare features and print quality to the H2D and X1/P1 series: https://t.co/qpRnqEoY7h You can also support all the testing I do, with the H2S affiliate link: https://t.co/I4d6lFRSQN

If you have ever wondered how much PLA, PETG, ASA, PA, and PET print strength are affected by the part cooling, here is the new video: https://t.co/2iJZo1LAEk Results are very surprising! π Small sneak peek of PLA results! #3dprinting #3dprint #3dprinter #filament

After many prints and tests, I finally have the detailed answer to a very important question. π Also, my brain is cooked after this... week... of testing...

These parts look almost fake as they turned out that good! π Printed on my Voron 2.4 with a 0.5mm nozzle using @sunluofficial PA12-CF, with outer walls printed first. Used 5 walls and 50% infill, so some warping was hard to avoid. Good thing that didnβt impact the design.

It still blows my mind how big this badge feels in my hands, but looks so small inside a huge 3D printer... π It was CNC machined from aluminum by @PCBWayOfficial π

Surely, you wouldn't be printing an even bigger 3D printer on an already massive one, right?

600x600mm Fysetc Venture XL video out! https://t.co/UM4zbWirhG The size of this Thing is INSANE!!! π But is it good or just another big 3D printer plagued with many issues? Watch the video! Thanks to @PCBWayOfficial for sponsoring and making that beautiful VentureXL badge!

Who said PETG is hard to print? Just fully dry it and tune retractions. This is with a 0.6mm nozzle BTW.

Maybe this will visually better show why you never print Voron parts from PETG... I kept both parts for 5min in the @sunluofficial E2 Dryer at 90 Β°C. The PETG part becomes like TPU, and the ABS part is still perfectly stiff with no deformation.

You think the linear rail reassembly is hard? Well, it is a piece of cake compared to reassembling the ballscrew... π₯²π₯²π₯²

Fysetc Venture XL + @phaetus3D Rapido 2 UHF upgrade. Printing @sunluofficial regular PETG (0.6mm nozzle at 0.3mm layers). So... This was ~0.7kg print... and it wasn't even that big. 3kg spools are the norm here. But the variety of them and air-tight dry boxes are so limited. π₯²

This is probably the most unconventional hotend design that I have seen so far... The @3dmellow NF FluxHeat hotend. 35mm length meltzone (the longest from all my tested hotends) and standard V6 nozzles. Do you think it could outperform any of the current TOP 3 hotends? π§

Surely for a 600x600mm heatbed (4x beds), the 0.17mm range is good enough... I could probably squeeze to 0.15mm, but that would be just a waste of time with no real benefit. π€
