On Tuesday evening, I attended the FIRST EVER Girls Flag Football game in South Lakes history! Thanks to the generous support of the Washington Commanders, high schools across Northern Virginia have been sponsored to create teams and increase access to America’s favorite game.

Homecoming 2025 has been a great success! From out fun-filled pep rally, to our parade through the community, to winning the football game, and finally; a dynamic dance, it was joy to see the excitement and smiles on the faces of students.

As I work the front entrance of our South Lakes High School Homecoming Dance, I got a surprise visit from Colonel Bullard. He dropped off my official race shirt and race number for the 41st Annual Army Ten-Miler, to be ran in Downtown Washington, D.C. tomorrow morning!

Cameron attended the Cox Centennial Celebration of 100 years of Black PhD Mathematics, hosted by Dr. Talitha Washington of the Office of the Provost and the Math department of Howard University. He enjoyed the nearly two hour symposium, and then we took a tour of “The Yard.”
