Somehow, in our late 30s and early 40s, we as Black gay man are expected to navigate through disappointments, ghosting, disappearing pics, and hit or miss connections to remain “hopeful” that our person is out there.
I remain optimistic, but this some bullshit.
When I was young, my mom told me a story about how the City of Atlanta claimed eminent domain to force my grandparents out of their home in Downtown Atlanta to build what I believe is now a park. My Grandma never really got over the hurt of having to move out of her home.
This straight guy went up under one of Shaun T’s pics of his husband and children, and asked if “2 non straight men can raise a straight child”. Do y’all even know how human sexuality works?
Cishet men are fucking dumb as a box of rocks. I don’t know how women do it.
This is the face of a man who just defended his research proposal and will be admitted to Doctoral Candidacy!!!!! The coveted all but dissertation (ABD) status of the process which certifies I’m done with coursework and that I know how to research.
I’m almost there!
Beating a dead horse with this, but Deviant posted photos from their last party in ATL.
In the sea of men in attendance, they could only find ONE picture of a big boy to put on their account. In ATLANTA!?!
This is exhausting and contrary to their messaging.
Please be reminded that engaging in sexual acts while a person is sleeping is sexual assault. Unconscious people cannot give consent.
Please also be reminded that recording sexual acts with unconscious people is evidence of a crime.

I think the “I just quit my job” sentiment is more about the Great Resignation than advocating for folx to actually quit their jobs. The main reason why people are leaving their jobs is because they are tired of being worked to death - hence “you won’t break my soul.”
I’m trying to understand why the onus is on the wife to “fix” this. If the husband lacks the emotional intelligence and vulnerability to tell his wife what’s going on, that’s HIS problem not HERS.
That’s my take anyway.
Atlanta has to atone for that shit.
And you wonder why shit has boiled over. It ain’t about one single person. This is about a system that has ALWAYS disenfranchised Black voices who couldn’t afford to be heard.
Those stories aren’t that old. The reason why the names of streets change from Monroe to Boulevard or Highland to Moreland is because white people didn’t want to live on the same street as Blacks. The creation of I-20 is said to have gutted Black neighborhoods throughout the city
