In the face of Trump’s chaos, Canada has a choice: protect workers or fall behind. With smart investments in jobs, public services, and domestic industry, we can build a stronger future. Canada’s unions are ready to help lead the way. #cdnpoli #WorkersTogether #FairTrade.

Today I wrote to @MarkJCarney to applaud Canada’s recognition of Palestinian statehood, a crucial step toward justice. But more must be done to end the crisis in Gaza and uphold international law. Full letter 👉

BC Ferries is taxpayer-funded—so why are shipbuilding contracts going to China? . The PM was loud and clear: “Build, baby, build.” “Buy Canadian.” . @AnitaAnandMP: One Canadian economy means ferries built in Canada, by Canadian workers.

Back from D.C., where I met with union leaders from the U.S. and Germany, as well as Canadian officials. We’re facing a global wave of inequality, bad trade policy, and rising far-right division. The answer? Worker solidarity across borders. 🌎✊

This trade war has already taken a major toll on Canada’s workers. But the government support for workers pales in comparison to its robust support for industry. Workers should be front and centre for Canada’s leaders.

The deep spending cuts called for by PM Carney’s government yesterday will weaken the programs that people depend on. This could result in thousands of public service job cuts impacting PSAC members, their families and communities across the country. 1/2.

Enough is enough, it is time that this Liberal government stand with workers against Trump and pushes companies like Amazon, Google, and Facebook to pay their fair share. #CanLab #WorkersTogether.

The DST was a small but important policy that tried to reduce the power Big Tech has and address tax avoidance by digital services companies.

The Carney government’s elimination of the digital services tax is a shameful sellout of Canadian workers to the Trump administration. This is not only a gift to Trump, but it will also make Big Tech even more powerful.

For decades, Canada’s unions fought for anti-scab legislation. As of June 20, workers will finally be protected from replacement during strikes and lockouts. Yesterday, we celebrated that victory with the workers and leaders who helped make it real. What a proud moment✊ #canlab

Workers are under constant stress, made worse by Trump’s reckless tariffs. Now the federal gov’t is hosting the #G7 Summit and rolling out the red carpet for him? It’s a slap in the face. Working people need leadership that invests in people, not bullies.

Canada Post is more than mail. It’s a public institution, vital to rural communities and good union jobs. Government must respect bargaining and work with workers to build it for the next generation.

The Kaplan report said what the union has been saying: Canada Post needs to evolve — but forward, not down. With its vast network, it could be leading on services like postal banking.
