I’m really touched to receive the Geographical Award from the Royal Geographical Society.

I’m aiming to reach the North Pole. It’s an incredibly tough challenge, with a slim chance of success, but I believe it’s worth pursuing. If I succeed, I’ll become the first woman to travel solo to both the North and South Pole.

So. I did it again. just a little faster. I completed a solo unsupported expedition from Hercules Inlet to the South Pole with a very specific goal in mind-the female speed record. The 1130km expedition, lasted 31 days, 13 hours and 19 minutes. Full blog:
