Decided to watch an old fight today. Decided on Hagler-Mugabi. Mugabi was vicious but this shows the brilliance of Hagler. Tough, Intelligent and a will to win that is unmatched. The best Southpaw ever. Crazy to think this was his last win. Truly was Marvellous.

Let's not forget Its impossible for Till to achieve a tenth of what Froch did in boxing. Froch sitting there with his apple as the circus unfolds was hilarious. Anyway going to stick the Taylor and Bute fight on now. British Boxing royalty.

Some of these guys are getting more money than Pro’s who fight for British or Commonwealth titles. Its Boxing WWE. Good on them but I think broadcasters need to let ppl know how huge the gulf is to these and the Pro’s.

The amount of times tonight @DAZNBoxing asked a pundit how they saw it and the response was, I’m not scoring the fight but………….If you aren't scoring the fight then your response is irrelevant. We need a modern.day Howard Lederman. Scoring a fight is an art.

I remember Floyd making the shoulder roll popular. I then saw about 50 amateurs try it and get knocked out with left hooks. Shakur made it look effortless tonight. They are generational defensive fighters. Any kids watching Shakur, just keep your hands up.

My takeaway from tonight is Shakur Stevenson is the best defensive fighter of this generation. He could probably avoid raindrops.

6-2 Taylor. Matador against bull. Horrible feeling of a stitch up.

When she won the worlds in 2008. It was probably the most dominant display I've ever seen male or female. 13-2 in the final. 2010 final 18-5. Olympics 2012 10-8 (should of been wider). She gets nowhere near the credit she deserves. Literally turned pro past her prime and won.

Katie Taylor is the best women fighter of all time. I followed her amateur career. Her prime was 2008-2016. Like Lomachenko. Couldn't hit her with a handful of rice. How is she's going in 2025 I don't know. But she's the Irish Sugar Ray Robinson in my eyes.

Boxing is scored round by round. Not who you think looked better over the duration. Nicking 6 rounds against a huge 4 rounds is still 6-4. The art of scoring a fight has gone. We need someone to explain it to the public like Harold Lederman did.

I thought Savannah won that. I thought she beat Shields. I don't think either fight was hard to score. But as Brits we can't complain as we have given the world some of the worst decisions of all time over the last few years.

RT @KOJournals: 29 years ago, Riddick Bowe defeated Andrew Golota by DQ in round 7 of 10 to improve his record to 39-1. .

The Lightweight version of Julio Cesar Chavez that fought Rosario troubles every lightweight in history. His left hook to the body sounds like a shotgun.

Watched Salvador Sanchez against Danny ‘Red’ Lopez today. Sanchez was a beast. Such a shame he was dead at 23. He would of arguably been the best Featherweight of all time and Top 10 all time.

Watched another old fight again today. Clifford Ettiene- Lawrence Clay Bey in a Heavyweight slugfest on the Lewis-Tua undercard. Worth a watch if you have a spare 45 minutes. There’s a British version on YouTube with Darke and McCrory on comms who are spot on as usual.

Just catching up with Top Rank show on the weekend. Are my eyes deceiving me or is Carl Moretti talking to a judge mid-round and the judge stops looking at the fight. Cut by punch, blood not going into the eye. Stitch up. In other news Poncher-Shu Shu is the best duo on Comms.

Inoue shines any era. Give him a Delorean that goes 88mph and he beats them all.
