Dallas! We’re headed your way for our next PRAY AWAY screening and discussion! Join us on Sunday, April 16th at 3:45PM. Doors open at 3PM.

“If you’re a person of faith, I will challenge you to talk about this in your synagogue, mosque, bible studies, during prayers, talk out loud about this bill. Talk about the anti-transgender legislation that is sweeping the southeast right now.”

“What cis gender folks and LGBQ folks who care about trans people actually being able to exist in these United States in the future can do is contact their representatives.”

“We could get a vote as soon as Monday morning.” said Rev. Leo Allen, a Baptist minister who mentors trans youth and adults and relies every day on gender affirming healthcare. “But it would still need to get signed by Governor Brian Kemp to go into law.”

On Tuesday, the bill passed the Senate with a 33-22 vote, and today it passed the House with a 96-75 vote. The House amended the bill, so the bill has to go back to the Senate for another vote.

The Georgia House of Representatives passed a bill on Tuesday that seeks to restrict the care doctors could provide to transgender children. The law would ban some gender-affirming care for transgender Georgia youths.

Each screening includes a panel discussion featuring conversion therapy survivors, local LGBTQ+ organizations, and activists who are working to end conversion therapy. Stay tuned for more, and if you live in one of these areas and want to help, reach out!
