I had a dream where I lost my gems, made me very sad.

There’s one part about Coda Vacation I really love. And that’s how Seigi says that he really loves being a jeweler, and that he and Richard were born to be one. Every time I read the beginning of the story now and Seigi says "I don’t learn much about jewels" I need to laugh.

But Saul is happy anyway.

He actually does realize it’s love after talking to Tanimoto. But he settles for the more broad term "Ai" (愛) instead of the explicitly romantic love "Koi" (恋) Saul was hinting at.

For me it’s that the story feels like a warm embrace for those people who feel different from the norm. In the context of Richard and Seigi I often call it "queerness", but it’s not just that. It makes you feel like there’s place in the world where you can belong.

I’ve realized it’s pretty risky to post scenes from vol 4 out of context. So I’d like to shift the focus a bit and ask you to share your favourite moments from the story that aren’t about the love between Richard and Seigi. There’s just so much more to this story.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with this post here. Why are so many people seeing it and liking it. I hope some people stick around if they’re interested.

Tanimoto is so cute. And I wonder when the shift in Seigi happens where he wants to see Richard eating (his) sweets.
