Low-cost airline Wizz Air will launch a new direct route between Prague and Sofia, starting October 27, 2025. The service will operate year-round. During the winter season, Wizz Air will operate 4 weekly flights. In summer, the frequency will increase to 5 flights per week.

🕍 On Sunday, August 10, over 75 Jewish sites across Czechia will open their doors for free as part of the “Day of Jewish Sites” (Den židovských památek 2025). Most are usually closed to tourists. In Prague, only the Jerusalem Synagogue will take part.

Prague Airport has suspended its facial recognition system following changes to Czech law under the EU’s new AI Act. The system, active since 2019, was used to scan travelers’ faces and match them with police databases. It helped identify and detain 155 wanted individuals.
