1 in 3 people on the Navajo nation rez donβt have access to clean water. 1 in 3!! Natives have the highest rates of plumbing poverty is just one of the many inequalities that are forgotten and ignored in Native communities. Natives are out here fighting for basic human rights.
The Supreme Court ruled the U.S. govt is not responsible for ensuring water access for Indigenous tribes in a 5-4 vote. Nearly 1 in 3 people who live on the Navajo Nation reservation do not have access to clean water, despite living alongside the Colorado River.
