I’m all for small class sizes but educators/parents need to ask what the terms/trade offs are & then decide/rally. It’s not keeping everything as is & reducing #s.If we don’t have firm funding answers, it’s 🤷🏼‍♀️.HOW CAN ONE TRAIN FOR A RACE IF YOU’RE UNSURE YOU CAN AFFORD 🩴OR👟?.

If we don’t know the FSF formula NOW, how can one plan? It’s not only about teachers. Will students have agents, nurses, providers, paras, counselors & special programs when they arrive to their new schools since they can’t fit into their own anymore? What about bus shortages?.

It made affording college impossible because of that responsibility and many other hurdles. It just kills me. I’d do anything for her to be a math teacher in my school. Heck, she should be running her own school! We don’t have a bilingual teaching shortage, we have….

We studied together all the time. Trying to get straight As. She tutored me in complex math and dreamed of becoming a math teacher. The responsibility placed on her shoulders was to provide for her family.

During HS I waitressed at a 50s ice cream shop and busted my butt to save money and that money was mine. I worked with the most intelligent & kindest soul. A dear friend! Her pay check went to her family and younger siblings. We both started community college together….

There is not a bilingual teacher shortage. I’m tired of hearing that. There’s a pipeline issue that prevents aspiring multilingual educators from accessing higher education to get certified. I’d like to share a story ….
