There is a large group of part time artists who make our studio a busy and vibrant place. Photographers, potters, painters but whatever their medium, they use our studio to develop and express their creative selves. Have a look at the happy faces that we see on a weekly basis.

Out of our glaze kilns. Kaori Gokita's Koi fish bowls are perfect and James Lash "Winter Birch" with Cardinals bowls hit the mark. We love to see Linda Shier's fish trays emerge from the kiln. Sangeeta Rekhi did a fabulous job with the two bowl set, in two tones. Have a look.

in 2021 James Lash was commissioned by the Amazon Prime show "Loudermilk", to produce a series of prop mugs for an episode about a substance abuse support group. In this episode a member of the group made mugs for the other members, poorly made mugs that leak all over everyone

There's nothing like unloading warm pots, on a cold morning. James Lash's "Winter birch' tea pot is perfect, Kaori Gokita's Japanese script platter is jaw dropping as are Dan Tell's "Danville" bowls. James Lash also contributed the square neighbourhood platter, always so popular.

Linda Raudonus is very well known for her fabulous abstract paintings. However Linda is also a potter and wheel thrower and works several days a week on glazing, particularly at our River Market store. Linda is open to trying anything new when it comes to developing new designs.

PotteryWorks is blessed to have a very serious hand building ability, thanks to instructors Ami Sangha and Jesselin T'Kenye. Our artists are producing unique and top quality work, with the guidance of these two talented potters. Hand building allows us such freedom of design.

Artist Geoffrey Lee developed new techniques for his abstract paintings. Geoffrey's work was a highlight at Inclusion Art Show. He is back in the studio, exploring variations, listening to jazz and whistling while he works. The studio is a happier place when Geoffrey is in it.

Last year artist James Lash told us that he wanted to paint seascapes instead of landscapes. We shouldn't have been surprised, because looking back James has a history of painting some great seascapes. Have a look at some new and some very old seascapes that James has turned out.

While preparing an art show submission, we were stunned at some of the images we found in Photographer Sheldon Simon's artist file. We download from our photographers cameras every week after their Snap Photo Squad field trips, and there were some images that just blew us away.

Snap Photo Squad visited North Vancouver yesterday enjoying a trip on the Seabus and visiting the Shipyard. We loved seeing their view of our beautiful region. Personally, I get focussed on the daily demands of life and forget to look up at the incredible surroundings we enjoy

The Colour Collective are feeling the love for Valentines Day, experimenting with some ideas. They all know what they want to express, caring and a chance to tell everyone how they feel about them. Here's some examples of their designs in development, but with a clear message.
