Despite calls to reinstate PGR tutor opportunities in @CUSocSci, the School stands by its decision to rob their PGRs of income and experience. Interesting that less than a year after securing proper contracts the School no longer wants to employ PGRs to teach. 🤔 🧵1/4

Does Cardiff have an issue with street parking? Yes. But @cardiffcouncil @huwthomas_Wales discriminatory policy is not the answer. Students bring so much to our city, and your potential punitive measures are a disgrace.
Cardiff Council’s proposed blanket ban on student parking is easily one of the most egregiously age-discriminatory things I’ve seen in three decades of knocking about universities.

🚨Last night at @cardiffstudents AGM, ~800 students unanimously voted to support our PhD tutors and demonstrators. 🚨.This sends a clear message to @cardiffuni: both undergrads and postgrads value their teaching and oppose cuts to PhD tutors positions ✊
