Whole games dedicated to a dude just dying. Death is a funny spectacle not to be taken seriously. Obvious recent tragedy probably put a strange fascination with graphic death into the culture

The art is a product of the people which were a product of the time. The violence was pretty over the top by today’s mostly sanitized standards. This is just what guys were making. I feel this got reflected in mw2 no russian, gta 4 etc. Kind of a disturbed time.

-story doesn’t really matter. Set up a cool situation and make guys fight.-a time where things were unabashedly cool on purpose, not really any irony.-lots of gray area on who’s good or bad, usually neutral or bad parties

I have a lot of thoughts about 2000s flash game violence/aesthetics/culture (mainly the stickpage era stuff). Not sure how to structure it all but here’s some random points.-lots of kung fu, matrix’s fault.-black guns, no colorful customization.-blank characters, detailed deaths

Another Roblox game we’re making.
Something canyon and I have been making in #roblox.-Fully 2D, all pixelart (pixel-aligned, no mixels - including the custom font!).-collisions, proper occlusion, it all just works. #robloxdev #gamedev

Energy door access.Showing off the env work by @jack_canyon .I tied the new energy door up to the game action system so we can make sequences like this pretty modular. This is flatscreen debugging for a VR-first game, so it's still sorta weird #robloxdev #roblox #gamedev
