An advert taken from a 1948-50 scrapbook. Hoping the strength and conditioning staff have some pre-match Bourn-vita drinks prepared for the #Pompey players ahead of this evening's game – seemed to work once upon a time!

#Pompey switched from salmon pink and maroon shirts to white for the 1909/10 season – shown here on a postcard and cigarette cards from the time. It was worn for three years before changing to blue. #PompeyHistory

Signed for #Pompey from Dundee in 1935, Lew Morgan was a regular at right-back between 1937 and 1939 and played in the 1939 FA Cup Final. He transferred to @WatfordFC after the war before joining non-league Chelmsford City in 1948. #PompeyHistory

At 38 pence per minute 8am-6pm, 25ppm after 6pm and at weekends inc. VAT, including around £2 spent listening to 'thanks for calling Clubcall' waffle, this was an expensive way to hear the latest (although usually already announced on Ceefax/Teletext) #Pompey news.

I don't really collect programmes but have this unofficial 'pirate' edition from the FA Cup 6th Round tie with @NUFC in March 1952. I haven't seen many pirate #Pompey versions before. Newcastle won the match 4-2 and went on to win the trophy. #PompeyHistory

#Pompey midfielder David Norris, shown here on a Topps Match Attax 2011/12 card, signed from Ipswich Town in June 2011. He played 42 matches, scoring 8 goals, including a memorable 93rd-minute equaliser in the 2-2 draw with Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium in April 2012.
