Rare occurrence these days. I am testing some budget small drivers. Possibly for 3D printed cabinets for small applications. Will see

Anyone else ever think the internet in 10 years time is going to be absolute nonsense?. You search for pretty much anything and you have to climb through the crap to find what your looking for. Tried watching a 10 minute youtube video. Saw more PCP claim ads. It's a sad time.

Just a quick 'I haven't disappeared' message. Busy with family stuff but also an idea on the suspension side of speaker design and 3D printing. Will post on here and Patreon soon with updates. For now, random pictures of in progress stuff πŸ˜„

#3Dprinting electricals and certifications. @josefprusa I know have certified there control boards, but what about the old ramps V1.4, SKR Turbo etc?. Also lots of little boards now but seemingly no certification despite laws? . What am I missing here???

New surround printed for a new revision of the 5 series drivers. Patreon update as well to follow. But my question today. Why are we not seeing more practical 3D prints? . I'm talking vacuum cleaners, maybe even a desktop dishwasher. Fans (I'm working on that).

The new blade is a 5 blade design to reduce vibration, and the base is a disc which sits against the PP housing and just touches the outer wall if it moves about 1mm. This Tumble Dryer was scrapped by a family member in 2018. 7 more years thanks to #3DPrinting and more to go!!!

The replacement blade with the revised design lasted 4.5 years, and now the bearing on the motor does nothing, causing it to knock about in its PP plastic housing. So designed another new blade which also acts as a bearing! Image in comments πŸ‘‡.

We have a tumble dryer given to us because it would no longer pump water. This 3D printed pump blade lasted 2 years. Revised my design and now making another, Fixing it again for Β£0.25!

My Gaming Hot Take:. This video shows Gran Turismo 5. Nearly 15 years old. We haven't really developed that much further since this point. RSX (PS3) = 24 Shaders.Series S = 1280 Shaders. Graphical improvements are not the route forwards in gaming.

And the prototype for the future STEM 3D Printed Speaker Driver is alive! πŸ”ˆπŸ”‰πŸ”Š. Surround is the only flexible printed piece. All other 3D printed pieces are printed with normal settings. Just Arachne turned ON. Data capture hopefully in the week along with Symphony 5!

3D Printing speaker surrounds and spiders on a PEI Bed. (1) Use a glue stick or spray to help the TPU separate from the PEI. I use @3dlac or Dimafix. (2) Run the cold tap over PEI Bed. Then follow the video πŸ‘‡. (3) Pat dry with towel

The replacement for Elemental is underway with a #STEM focus. This #3Dprinted speaker driver has all parts EXCEPT the surround printed at the same time. No special settings. Just Arachne on. TPU surround optional. AliExpress one will also fit! . More as it develops πŸ”ˆπŸ”‰πŸ”Š
