"History instead is going to ask, how did America get to the point where such a person could be elected to the presidency of the United States?"
@PoliticusSarah
When kids in school learn about this era that’s what they’re going to ask “why did people go along with it? How did he get elected in the first place?”
@PoliticusSarah
Amen. The truth. The law of GIGO must always be considered when choosing a leader or lawmaker. A thought keeps popping up about 2016. Maybe DT didn't win (it was shocking then--& even more so now) & an investigation would prove he didn't & he would be expunged from our history.

Fox so-called news is the answer. Rupert Murdoch is a traitor. Australia is forming a commission to put him out of business there and to prosecute him for his lies. Why can't we do the same here? He's tried to institute fascism in several countries, and all were worse off for it.

I've been wondering that since 2016. I hope that the lesson we learn is to vote in *every* election and to pay more attention to who our candidates really are. We have a long way to go still.

It's pretty easy, actually...
The Orange Avenger's rise to infamy is a microcosm of two things:
1) The vindictiveness of a good portion of this population as it relates to having a TANGIBLE representation of diversity, be the face of the most powerful democracy in the world.…

Because, as a country, we're not as great as we think we are, and we've never come to terms with the bad that's hidden by celebrations of the good. well... that and unrestrained capitalism.

Trump didn't get in because he was smart or had a good plan for America. He got in because he was a pawn and willing to prostitute for the GOP & Putin.
