All afternoons flooded with sun— at Grandmother’s knees, a warmth that smelled of wheat. My head, hard as stone, rested upon that warmth; and my dreams, one by one, rose from those knees. Before I turned twelve, every day—every hour— the air drifted with something sweet.

Within the garden runs a quiet stream It carries moonlight through the gentle night Its murmurs mingle with a fading dream From gods who stir the air with touch so light A maiden lingers where the feast is spread Alone she listens to the waters fall The years slip past

In corners veiled where sun has never shone A starless sphere to silent ruin flies The storm and wind to tempered steel grown Strike at the soul where dark desire lies Confusion blooms as dust through heaven strewn A silver haze that blinds the midnight air Yet you Yes

I’m not chasing anyone The moon soars the stars leap You run ahead of me I don’t wish to run The flowers have bloomed thrice New buds have grown into branches The garden stretches beyond sight And I cannot see you I don’t seek to see anyone The wind rushes toward me The

May’s soft whispers shy and sweet Friends we became where breezes meet Your shadow blooms wild and kind A Mayflower etched within my mind Spring fades yet my heart stays Seeking you in lilac haze Words guide me through May’s sweet lines Your gentle will my heart’s refrain

In May whose heart begins to stray Hummingbirds flit with news to say Iris hearts in bloom confess Roses name themselves in red undress My May is shy in ink and haze I lose all faces in the day’s faint glaze At night just moonlight scent and me A drifting dream and a mystery

I sit beneath the hush of time And count its threads as they unwind Its hand like iris bloom is kind It turns the page without a chime I press a thought from violet hue To mark what joy or grief may show A breath remains the pages through A scent of time faint soft & low

The days gone by are like an aged book Holding the seasons bearing the rain and wind Each page is warm with your words Each line strung close and tight It has always been silent Yet in my heart it plays A soul-stirring melody That echoes without end

I saw a sign pressed against joy not hope but weight the heaviest stone in the darkest clothes It stretched across the sky quiet vast covering our lives without asking A thread of light touched my fingertips Enough to lift the burden from your brow maybe the pain from mine

Where shall I find U In the heart of spring Where green bursts forth in every living thing Where shall I find U In lake waters deep ur eyes they seem And mountain peaks that arch like brows in dream Where shall I find u In a pot of aged wine gently brewed A hint of youth

I want to sit in that moment where sunlight falls perfectly and the roses reach in with their fragrant buds A letter rests on the desk shaped into shyness by the moonlight My gaze falls upon you standing between the past and the future and that feeling is bittersweet

The spring breeze turns my window green painting the view outside in colors pointing toward the distance where in the mist Ur figure appears I want to close the window but can't shut out the fullness of spring in my heart Tonight will u come to me stepping on moonlight

Your words like the morning breeze carry the vibrant scent of life my response like the closely following dawn manifest the beauty of existence I gaze at you looking far into the distance where my soul merges with yours

The whispers of winter carry a refreshing chill in the air The fragrance of spring flowers lingers softly still vivid in memory Leaves inscribed with poetry cover the winding paths year after year Leading to that dreamlike place fresh and picturesque as a imaging

Rain falls outside the window soaking a sense of longing A distant blurred figure but a name clear in my heart Between us lies a rain a story a storm I read you For you turning myself into a poem And you are a painting so beautiful so far out of reach

Wherever your presence is deserts and grasslands are the same Wherever your voice is mountains and oceans are the same I know you don’t know I am just beside you and you are in my soul

Today are U willing to disclose a bit of information I look towards where your secrets lies Once my heart has wandered into that place and captured several patches of shadows My soul wants to hold on to those images but that distant place beyond even the farthest reaches

I wait for you from place to place I wait for you from the direction the wind blows With the memory and the warmth of the first kiss The day casts a persuasive coolness The moon emits mocking lights But my waiting for the sake of waiting for the feeling only happens once

Seasonal trees define my space Clusters of flowers and grass spread out to form my stage There is also a small stream running through my years Its calm rhythm is devoid of breath Only the footsteps of your presence can be its cheerful notes
