Yesterday was Taxpayers Experience Day, meaning that this past Saturday you could come without an appointment. It wasn't just identity verification as the blogs state.
People in Atlanta received a letter from the IRS stating they had to verify their identity in person to receive their refund. This was the line outside of Atlanta's IRS center yesterday.
