Today we concluded a youth-kickoff workshop for 3 Coops, Nandi, Kaplomboi, and Marakwet supported by @crafteastafrica.Exciting to see youths motivated and geared to take up leadership roles within their respective Coops. They are also championing the adoption of CSA practices

For sure!! #Cooperatives are farmer-led enterprise, they own their #business,they can adapt to simple and affordable #strategies (financially sustainable) #IncreasedIncome e.g. Use of improved seeds can be scaled via sustainable service provision!!

It is the high time we reform our policy on agriculture if we are to curb the ever growing food shortage.a systems approach addressing public extension,markets,cost of production,farm economics etc is needed as opposed to just subsidy @ephraimnjegafan
