Adding in herbs, chives, tarragon, scallions, mint or dill can help dress up your dishes to capture the freshness of Spring and make veggies exciting without the added calories!

Try going the savory route with your breakfast to help sneak in some reinforcements for that 2-3 cups of veggies per day quota. Tomato, cucumber, mashed white beans, spinach, even sweet potatoes can be added to make delicious breakfast dishes!

Quarantine mindset means that it can be easy to fall into the habit of overeating. Remember to take your time and chew slowly. It takes a full 20 minutes for your brain to communicate to your body that you are full.

With staying inside more often, screen usage is at an all time high! Let’s not forget the importance of turning off the electronics now and then, especially before bed! Bright screens late at night are extra stimulants that can suppress the sleep hormone melatonin.

Protein is known as the king of nutrients, and for a good reason! In a study, it was shown that increasing your protein intake from 15% to 30% of calories actually helped people to eat 441 less calories per day! Try lean meats and fish, nuts, or some creamy greek yogurt!

Many of our work responsibilities are continuing remotely. Meanwhile, many more of us are working to be a more active partner and homeschooling our children. We're never too busy for the simplest form of self-care: hydrating. The average adult should drink about 4 liters per day.
