Fair comments from JJ. Accepting how bad we were & not making excuses. I didn't feel he got the subs right today. Orsi not what we needed up front (not sure he ever is tbh) and should've changed shape. Moments of promise from Sasu the only positive. Need big reaction next week.

Fun fact. Gateshead have conceded 34 league goals in their 16 National League games this season.

Need to be much better at both ends 2nd half. Got in some good positions but been wasteful/made poor decisions. And been loose at the back. Harbottle/Lewis both look rusty. More speed/intensity needed. Looks like Ogs and Orsi might be coming on.

Not the best 2nd half. Lost 5-2. Col U far the more clinical and Dons so open at the back. Thought Amari Sealey was the standout player for us.

Decent 1st half in the FAYC vs Colchester. Slow start from the Dons and one down early but 2-1 up at the break through nice goals from Hedges and Moore.

In case anyone was wondering, acc. to transfermarkt, Bugiel's only previous pen was in Dec 2019 for Sutton vs Wrexham (scored tbf). Hippolyte taken 7, scored 5 Reeves taken 3, scored 3 Browne/Seddon not taken any Excl. shootouts. Think stats only go to National League level.

Hadn't spotted that Kai Jennings moved to Sutton on loan. Started today just after signing and scored. Decent level of loan for him esp. if he can get regular minutes.

Frustrating one today. Lots of huff & puff 2nd half but didn't really deserve anything. Could've been different if pen went in. Thought Charlie Webster, Burton's 8, was the best player on the pitch. Does seem L1 is a pretty level division this year. Not much between any teams.

Love Omar but I'd have had 5 or 6 players ahead of him for taking the pen.
