Less an attack ad, more just a statement of fact. I'm for it. Also, keeping it classy with the 'mister'. America, it can really be like this.

Carney team - if you can further highlight this in your campaign and develop this in the PM - he will have a huge wave of good will & support behind him to channel into the future projects he has planned. From all I've seen, I believe in him. You have my vote @MarkJCarney.

Canadians right now want more than a calm leader with vision & expertise. They want a team captain who guides the group forward in a unified play. A brother in arms who feels the gravity of every impact along the way. Canadians want to unify - and this is how we know to do that.

Nardwuar interview was a great example of this.

My hope is he can learn to offset his somewhat procedural demeanour with honest emotional connection w/ CDNs in their very different worlds. He does it well off the cuff but would love to see it more front + center. His likeability skyrockets when divorced from any entitlement.

It's not bad to have a strong focus but effective governance entails actively working to broaden your awareness of complex (social) realities & own biases. Carney seems capable of this in terms of his perspective/skill/capacity but perhaps not as much in practice.

I worry somewhat that Carney's confidence & economic focus could lead to blind spots and problems down the road regarding social or cultural issues. Not unlike how Trudeau's focus on diversity (+ therefore immigration) inadvertently paved the way for the housing crisis.

Even though it must be exasperating in many ways to be in his current position, I'd like Carney to show he can accept this uncomfortable truth: that while Canadians may thank him, they do not owe him trust for his achievements outside the role of PM. It is a singular role.
